Anaïs Deal-Márquez

Anaïs Deal-Márquez is a cultural strategist, based out of Minneapolis, MN, unceded Dakota and Anishinaabe territory. She has over a decade of experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, and organizational development in the nonprofit sector. She is committed to fostering community spaces for connection and cultural healing grounded in storytelling. As a former co-executive director of Voices for Racial Justice, she has extensive experience with developing and operationalizing shared leadership structures, strengthening organizational work culture, implementing evaluation processes, and developing equity-centered organizational strategy. As a narrative strategist she grounds storytelling to leverage alignment across communities for grassroots driven solutions. She is also an experienced racial justice trainer with a proven track record of offering strategy and leadership coaching for movement building, grassroots advocacy, and values-driven institutions dedicated to centering equity in their work and culture. Anaïs is also an artist and published author whose writing focuses on migration, belonging, and memory.
