Land Acknowledgement

AS Community Consulting, Inc. acknowledges that it operates on the ancestral unceded territory of the Lenape people.  We also recognize the significant contributions of lands traditionally stewarded by the Menominee, Potawatomi, Dakota, and Anishinaabe peoples on the development of our organization. We give our sincerest respects and gratitude to the elders past, present, and future of all indigenous peoples and commit to upholding their teachings and guidance in all areas of our work and lives.

The history of colonization in the United States is complex.  The stories we are taught paint a picture of “discovery” and an altruistic reciprocation between “Indians” and “settlers” and ignore the violence caused by colonization and genocide.

As we continue to learn/ unlearn/ relearn this history, we invite you to join us in acknowledging, learning about, and honoring the people of the lands you are currently located on, where you were born and/or raised, and any other locations you hold dear. We offer the following resources as a starting point.
