Dara Bright, PhD

Dr. Dara Bright is an evaluation consultant and program strategist with over 5 years of experience leading outcome evaluations, psychometric analyses, and strategic assessments for academic institutions, nonprofits, and federal initiatives. Her work bridges rigorous evaluation methods with equity-centered practices to drive institutional learning, guide strategic investments, and build capacity for sustainable impact.

Trained as a methodologist with deep expertise in psychometrics, Dr. Bright has led and co-led the design, validation, and implementation of educational assessments supported by NIH, NSF, U.S. Department of Education, and NASA. Her consulting portfolio spans sectors including STEM education, biomedical workforce development, and health professions training. She has served as a Senior Researcher at MetriKs and as the Evaluation Consultant for the NASA Universe of Learning grant under Goodman Research Group (GRG).

Dr. Bright is also the Executive Director of the Consortium Dedicated to Health Equity Education (CDHE), a regional alliance of medical schools advancing physician workforce diversity through coordinated pathway programs and institutional transformation. Her evaluation work with CDHE’s signature program, PADMed, has shaped strategic planning, curriculum design, and cross-institutional collaboration to improve access and success for students aspiring to medicine.

With a career grounded in both research and practice, Dr. Bright is known for her ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights, facilitate organizational reflection, and foster inclusive learning ecosystems. Her work reflects a commitment to justice, accountability, and excellence in education.
